Circus

Jack was excited about going to the circus.  everyone in his family was going.  That included his two brothers, baby sister plus Mom and Dad.  He got up very early that morning. The bathroom was empty.  The house was so quite.  After he showered and dressed he called out to his Mom.  There was no answer.  Then he called his Dad.  There still was no answer.

As he ran down the stairs he saw Buck, the family dog run toward the kitchen.  He saw a note on the table with his name on it.  He instantly felt frightened.  As he picked up the note a tear began to roll down his cheek. He eyes were so blurred due to the tears in his eyes.

Before he could read the note there was pressure on his shoulder.  He gasped then quickly turned around.  He heard a voice say, ' do not bother to rad the note.  Why didn't you answer the telephone. Lets go to the circus. "  Jack replied wiping away his tears,  "ok Dad".

Missed his called

There was a young boy named Sammy that lived on a farm in the south.  His father had a large farm.  His mother took care of the house. In 1916 the young boy fell in love with playing baseball.  Sammy loved playing baseball with his two older brothers and their friends every Saturday.   Sammy was a good pitcher everybody said he was good.  When he became an adult he was the best pitcher in the whole county.  His two brothers no longer lived with them.  They had their own families.  He had to take care of their ailing parents and the farm alone.

One Saturday a baseball scout came to his town from the Negro baseball League.  They were scouting for a pitcher.  As always Sammy played the game with vigor.  A few days later he was contacted by the scout.  He offered him the opportunity to be a pitcher in their league.  He rushed home to tell his parents the good news.  To his dismay he saw that his mother's cough had gotten worse.  Dad was too ill to take care of mother while he was playing ball.  Sam paused and looked at both his parents.  He never told his parents his news.  He never played ball again.  He patiently said to his mother, "I'll get your medicine mother."

Family Tree

Many of the older family members have died leaving no records to trace the family tree.  In fact only a few stories have survived slavery, emancipation, Great Depression and the migration to the north.  My cousins and I haved decided to attempt to  create a digital storytelling project of our family.  We are currently gathering resource material this project.

Studio

I usally work on more than two  art project at the same time.  It works for me because I find that I can get a better perspective of my work when I alternate my time working on each project.  Sometime both projects are based on the same subject.

Painting

My favorite subject to paint are plants.  My concentration currently are flowers.  Usually I focus on a partion of the flower not the entire plant. The entire canvaswould be a leaf or a petal. I work for a NYS Agency during the day and do my painting at night.

Does this make any sense?

The President of the United States of America is a very important person.

Test Time

It was time to take a test.  It was a very important test.  If your passed the test you would be considered for a promotion at work.  The best thing to do if you really wanted to be promoted was to study for the test. Also you would have to take the test.  After a couple of weeks you would be notified of your score.  The passing score is 70.  There was an individual that waited for 6 weeks for test results.  After 6 weeks had passed he contacted the Agency that gave the test for the score.  Unfortunately there was no results listed for that individual.  The individual exclaimed, "I think I forgot to put my name on the test paper."
